VOCAL INSTRUCTION AND VOCAL CLINICS

Are you ready to take your singing to the next level? If so, I'm ready to help through personal vocal instruction!

My vocal coaching is NOT based on just getting a singer through a song and making them sound pretty. My coaching is about getting the singer to master proper vocal technique and maintaining great vocal health, to help preserve and protect their vocal instrument for years to come. In addition, I will specifically address issues with vocal stamina, singing with sinus and allergy issues, and more.

Lessons are available NOW in person or via Skype. In addition, local and virtual vocal clinics are being planned for the future, so if you or someone you know is SERIOUS about learning correct vocal technique, and if you are interested in having me present a vocal clinic for your church, group, etc., please email all inquiries to alove4voice@gmail.com or call +1.708-680-6816 for details.

"Andrea Love is one of the only singers I know personally other than Charlie Wilson and R. Kelly who can sing night after night for 3 hours, singing many different styles and genres, hit all the notes, and have energy. She's a true talent that understands the art and the importance of taking care of your vocal instrument!"

MY VOCAL HEALTH STORY

By the age of 22, after singing incorrectly with choirs and groups for years, I was diagnosed with nodules on my vocal cords - - yep - - AT THE YOUNG AGE OF 22!!!!

The diagnosis came after being examined by an E.N.T. Specialist at U.I.C. Hospital. The doctor confirmed the nodules were small, and would probably heal on their own - - and if I wanted to have my voice over the next 20 or more years, I needed to go on vocal rest ASAP and afterwards, learn how to sing properly. And that’s what I did. No singing for a while, spoke softly when necessary, prayed over my voice, and took voice lessons to learn proper technique.

I went back to the choirs and groups and began singing lower parts to preserve my true soprano voice because, I knew that singing in church was not the last stop for me. I knew God had more things planned, and I knew I had to protect and preserve my voice for the things that were to come.

Fast forward to 2002, when a big House music hit I recorded took off abroad, and I was booked for a one week tour. By the end of only one week of touring, I could barely talk, so forget about trying to sing in that condition! I came home and studied again, and this time I added emphasis on developing a stronger mixed voice, vocal stamina and pacing myself for performances.

Today, even with moderate sinus and allergy issues, medications that come with the side effect of drying out the vocal cords, and a fibroid that affects how I take in a breath - - even with all of this - - my voice is better and healthier now than it was 20 years ago, and no nodules!!

Because I have come across some pretty serious vocal issues in my musical journey, my vocal coaching is NOT based on just getting a singer through a song and making them sound pretty. My coaching is about getting the singer to master proper technique and maintaining great vocal health, to ensure they have their voices for years to come. In addition, I will specifically address issues of vocal stamina, singing with sinus and allergy issues, and more.
